The fifth edition of the tournament will take place on October 4-5, 2025, at Europe’s largest billiard club – Strefa Billiards and Darts in Łódź. The EEBC Championships began in 2021, when the first champion was crowned in Petrich, Bulgaria. The second competition was also held there, but subsequent tournaments have been hosted in Łódź. The fifth edition will be no different. The local Strefa Billiards and Darts offers excellent playing conditions and a great capacity for hosting tournaments.
Given the venue’s capabilities, participants will compete in two events: the men’s individual tournament (9-ball) and a team competition (10-ball). The prize pool for this year’s championships is over 40,000 PLN, which will be divided among the winners of both events. In the individual tournament, the main prize is 8,600 PLN and a Cuetec billiard cue.
72 players and 28 teams are set to compete. Who has the best chance of winning? Among the Polish contenders for gold are last year’s championship medalists: Hubert Łopotko, Dominik Jastrząb, and Piotr Twerdyk. It is worth noting that Jastrząb is in phenomenal form! The GKS Katowice player just won the Dutch Euro Tour European Cup! Of course, we cannot forget about other strong names in Polish billiards who will also participate in the tournament. The players in the running for first place are: Mateusz Śniegocki, Mariusz Skoneczny, Sebastian Batkowski, and Szymon Kural.
Foreign players will also take part in the 5th EEBC Championships. The Czechs are counting on Petr Urban, the winner of the Dynamic Billard Best of the East in Pardubice. Ukraine’s hopes, in turn, are tied to Nikita Rudenko, the fifth-place player at the European Championships. The Slovakian team will be led by Jakub Koniar, the European vice-champion.
