The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) today announced Cues & Case with their flagship brand Lucasi, has agreed to be the presenting sponsor of the 2021 BEF Junior National 8-Ball Championships, taking place July 27-30 at the South Point Convention Center.
“With this sponsorship it signals that Cue & Case, and our parent company Escalade Sports has a renewed commitment to supporting youth play, including sponsoring tournaments and events aimed at promoting the sport of billiards for junior players. Cue & Case and Escalade Sports strongly believe that it is our duty as leaders in the sporting goods industry to promote healthy sporting activities for our young people, especially with the increased competition from the internet and electronic devices. Therefore, we are extremely excited to be sponsoring this new event at the BEF Junior National Championships, and really look forward to seeing some great play by the fantastic juniors that are participating this year.”
The 2021 BEF 8-Ball Championships presented by Lucasi, is a new event in 2021. An open field of male and female junior competitors who are 18 and under (won’t turn 19 in 2021), will take place alongside the 33rd Annual BEF Junior National 9-Ball Championships presented by Iwan Simonis and another new event open event, the 2021 BEF Junior National 10-Ball Championships for players who are 22 and under (won’t turn 23 in 2021). The event will also feature the return of the Artistic Pool Challenge.
“We are thrilled to have the Lucasi brand joining the Billiard Education Foundation in supporting this new event for junior pool players,” said BEF Managing Director Rob Johnson. “This is a great first step in what we believe will be a long and mutually beneficial partnership. They recognize the importance of supporting additional opportunities for our juniors to compete in a great atmosphere that will now see 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball and an Artistic Pool Challenge. As we’ve said many times, putting on these events would not be possible without sponsors who recognize the important of supporting tomorrow’s generation of players.”
