After welcoming players from over 40 nations last year, the European Open will feature a 256-player field competing across six days for an increased $225,000 prize fund, with $40,000 going to the champion.

Reigning champion Joshua ‘Killer’ Filler returns to defend his European Open crown after delivering one of the most dominant finals performances in the event’s history last year, defeating Naoyuki Oi 13–1. With the world’s elite chasing European glory, fans can expect high-intensity matches and drama throughout the week.

Kenan Magoda, Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, said: “I am truly pleased that Sarajevo will once again host a top-level sporting event and welcome the world’s best pool players. Following the excellent experience from last year, I am confident that this year’s edition will further confirm our ability to organize events of the highest international standard. The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton will continue to provide full support to this event, which contributes to promoting Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the global sports map.”

Emily Frazer, CEO of Matchroom Multi Sport, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the European Open back to Sarajevo after such a successful event last year. The atmosphere inside the arena and the passion from the fans made it a standout stop on the World Nineball Tour. This promises to be another incredible week of pool, and we encourage fans to secure their tickets early.”

With tickets on sale now from just €10, fans are encouraged to act early as the European Open returns to Sarajevo for another landmark edition in March.

For fans unable to attend in person, the European Open will be broadcast live on WNT TV, with further international broadcasters to be announced in the coming weeks.
