Theo Riedlecker from Sankt Johann im Pongau in Austria was bestowed with a very special award just recently. On occasion of the 30th anniversary of the pool billiard club UBSC Pongau, Riedlecker received the coveted trophy for his outstanding work for the development of pool billiard in his country and in Europe. The award was firstly given in 2005 to Norbert Engel, Austria, and has now been awarded for the second time in the EPBF history only.
Riedlecker has organised nine Euro-Tour events for Men and Women and three European Championships in Sankt Johann. This effort is second to none and cannot be appreciated high enough. The trophy is engraved with a sign that states: „Four outstanding work, contribution and promotion of the pool billiard sport in co-operation with the European Pocket Billiard Federation“. The presentation was done by EPBF President Gre Leenders, who was present during the anniversary celebrations in Austria.
