Matchroom Multi Sport Managing Director Emily Frazer said: “Back-to-back ranking events have been plans in the making since we officially launched the Asian Open Pool Championship, and we’re thrilled that both Vietcontent and Peri have come on board with this brand new ranking event. Whilst the US Open Pool Championship will finish on 30, September, players will have the opportunity to get to Hanoi, Vietnam and warm up before our first Asian Open event – I suspect it will be the toughest field seen in 9-ball. It’s great to have a 128-player ranking event leading into the Asian Open, promoting local Vietnamese talent and building up the excitement to the main event.
The plans of the billiards arena look impressive, with the Matchroom team all arriving in Hanoi in time for the Peri 9-ball Open, we have an extensive plan in place, so we can best promote the event and 9-ball in Vietnam.”
Vietcontent Group president cum CEO Ms. Tran Thuy Chi said: “I was born and grown here in this land of Hanoi city, with all my love with our home town and sports as well, I always dream of bringing international sports events here to the very beautiful and charming city like Hanoi. So I do appreciate the kind support of Hanoi city Authorities and Matchroom in organising a back-to-back Nineball ranking event in Hanoi. It’s helping to make Hanoi to become centre of Nineball Pool in October of 2023. And we with Matchroom both want to make the best preparation for players for Asian Open in terms of physical and financial as well.”
Peri exclusive dealer in Vietnam on be half of Title Sponsor Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nhat said: “I was a fan of pool and Matchroom event for a long time. And I always believe that our Vietnamese player will be the champion of the world one day. With the cooperation of Peri Cue and my partner Vietcontent now I can make a step forward to the goal. I hope that a long side with Asian Open, Peri 9-ball Open will create a big motivation for Vietnamese players in training because now even a young player without money can have the opportunity to step up to the international stage.
