The 2025 Asian Pool Championship got off to an exciting start yesterday in Jakarta, Indonesia, bringing together top cueists from across the Asian region. The championship features Men’s and Women’s 10-Ball events, along with 9-Ball for Junior Boys (Under-21).
The tournament is being conducted in two phases: Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Stage 1 action commenced yesterday with intense competition in the men’s and women’s categories.
In the Men’s 10-Ball Stage 1, a total of 62 players are competing in a single-elimination format, from which 16 players will qualify for Stage 2. The Women’s 10-Ball event, meanwhile, has drawn 17 players vying for qualification.
By the end of Day 1, eight players secured their places in Men’s Stage 2. The qualifiers are:

In the Women’s category, Kenny Tirza Chandra and Julia Permata Sari, both from the host nation Indonesia, have already advanced to Stage 2. A total of six players will qualify for Stage 2, with two more spots available today and two tomorrow.
The Junior Boys’ 9-Ball Stage 1 began today, with four players set to qualify for Stage 2. Two qualification spots will be decided today, followed by the remaining two tomorrow.
