The gold medals at the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Youth at the Golden Tulip Jagershorst Hotel in Leende, The Netherlands, have been awarded. Kristina Tkach (RUS) in the girls division, Dmitrii Shkudov (RUS) in the U17 and Patrick Hofmann (GER) in the U19 have won the coveted titles.
In the girls final, Kristina Tkach one more time proved her superiority. She dominated the whole final against her counterpart Darya Siranchuk (UKR) and did not give her any chance at all. The result of 5:0 in favour of Tkach shows the supremacy that Tkach has at the moment. There are not many players in Europe that can stop the young Russian lady. However today, Siranchuk has performed quite well until she came into the final against Tkach. There, she unfortunately took the role of a spear-carrier.

The final match in the U17 today was the only match that was really a tough fight from both sides. At least in the beginning of the match, both contestants took their racks at the table and after 5 racks, the scoreboard displayed a small 3:2 lead of Dmitrii Shkudov (RUS) over Mustafa Alnar (TNC). While Alnar already won a bronze medal in 10-ball last year in Tirana, Albania, Shkudov was new to a final match on European Championship level. But that could not be witnessed at all. The Russian performed really strong and shifted into overdrive after the first 5 racks. His opponent started missing easy shots since he was obviously impressed by Shkudov’s performance. Shkudov won rack after rack and took the match and the title with 6:2 over Alnar.

The final match in the U19 turned out to be a one man show. Last year’s 4-time Champion Patrick Hofmann managed to defend his title without too much hassle, winning clearly 7:1 over his opponent Aleksa Pecelj (SRB). It was not the case that the young Serbian had played bad. He just did not get a chance against Hofmann in that final. Whenever Hofmann came to the table, he ran out, including rail shots, kick shots and even jump-shots. That performance was second to none and Hofmann rightfully defended his title in the 10-ball U19.
