Asian Pool Promotions in conjunction with Matchroom Pool is delighted to announce that the first stop for the Nineball Asian Tour will be held in the beautiful island nation of Maldives on April 22-26. The event organised by the Maldives Pool Billiards Association (MPBA) will be Maldives’ first ranking event on the Nineball World Rankings under the Nineball Asian Tour umbrella.

With a total price pool of US$130,000, the tournament will feature some of the world’s greatest Nineball athletes who will compete against Maldives’ best.
The eventual winner of the Maldives Open will take home the trophy along with US$30,000 cash prize and the ever important Nineball and APF ranking points. The entry fee is set at US$200 with a field of 64 local and international players of which 16 spots will be reserved for the Maldivians and 16 spots for Nineball world ranked professionals. Cash prize payouts will extend to the last 32 athletes – half of total field.

In addition, the 16 highest ranked athletes – based on the Nineball World Ranking, who takes part in this tournament will also be given complimentary accommodation.
