Matchroom Pool is excited to announce a new three-year partnership with Pool’s hottest cuemaker – Cuetec. Beginning with the 2022 Mosconi Cup, Cuetec will become the official Cue, Case, and Rest partner of the world’s most prestigious, and watched pool events.
The new partnership will bring a shared vision to revolutionize pool, with a focus on producing the best competitions and events for Nineball’s rapidly growing fan base and the talented professional players who are at the core of every Nineball event.
An open and candid dialogue between the two companies indicated a clear alignment of goals and values, including a shared vision to keep Nineball on its rapid ascendancy while ensuring trust and integrity were at the heart of the partnership. This was underlined by Cuetec’s commitment to the first-ever SVB Junior Open earlier this year, allowing Matchroom to get Junior Events off the ground for the first time and helping begin the work required to inspire and create the next generation of champions.
The 2022 Mosconi Cup, underway at Bally’s Las Vegas from November 30th to December 3rd will be the first event to feature the new Cuetec Rest, as pool’s biggest rivalry takes place on American shores for the first time since 2019. All eyes will be on who will claim the first-ever Cuetec MVP Award, following the four sweltering days of action between Team USA and Team Europe.
The Cuetec partnership will get fully underway in 2023, with the World Pool Championship, World Pool Masters, World Cup of Pool, UK Open, European Open, US Open, and Premier League Pool.
“We believe Cuetec sponsorship is special, we strive to only partner with players and companies that are committed to excellence both on and off the table, and we believe we have found a perfect partner in Matchroom. Matchroom and Nineball stand at the pinnacle of professional pool events. No other events come remotely close to the fan and player experiences created by Nineball,” said Cuetec President Jones Chang.
“We’re really excited to further the connection between Cuetec fans and Nineball Fans. We plan to bring the Cuetec Demo Experience to many of Matchroom’s Events, where fans can try any of Cuetec’s advanced technologies in an educational environment. We won’t be selling products – that’s for our authorized dealers, but we will be showcasing Cynergy, AVID, and prototype products with instruction from our Cuetec Brand Ambassadors and the pro team,” said Cuetec Brand Manager Brett Garson.
Matchroom Multi Sport Managing Director Emily Frazer said: “We pride ourselves as pools biggest promoter at Matchroom; our mission to position pool as a global professional sport takes a lot of working components; one of which being our brand. Our re-brand of Nineball and the launch of the Nineball World Rankings in January this year catapulted Pool to a level of professionalism creating a fair, structured, transparent meritocracy for players in the sport. When it came to a new partner, we knew that Cuetec aligned themselves with our beliefs.”
“It is important we position ourselves alongside the most prestigious and high-valued brands in the industry, this makes a big impact to our conditions that players compete in: the best arena, the tables, the cloth, the balls and now cues. I am already blown away at the Cuetec team and their innovative ideas and eagerness to do all they can to help push this sport in the right direction. A great company to have on this very exciting journey with us. “
Additional exclusive Nineball X Cuetec content will be available via Matchroom Pool’s social media platforms, while the competitive action will continue to be broadcast through partners that include Sky Sports in the UK, DAZN in the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, and Germany as well as Viaplay in Scandinavia, the Baltics, Netherlands, Poland and on the Matchroom Pool Weibo channel in China.
