THE LITTLE MONSTER Women’s International Open is down to the last four players and the final is a guaranteed Asia v Europe match-up as Wei Tzu-Chien (TPE) takes on Seo Seoa (KOR) in the first semi-final and Kelly Fisher (GBR) and Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) contest the other.
Fisher got the better of Pia Filler in a three-setter to set up her semi-final against Ouschan, who cruised past Wang Wan-Ling. In the top half of the draw, Seoa defeated Chou Chieh-Yu (TPE) while Wei moved past Yu Han (CHN) in straight sets.
Afterwards Wei said, “I actually played quite solid and, in my memory, I only missed one shot. Actually, I surprised myself! Sometimes you can be everywhere and then in the next match you perform so well. I want to carry on with this feeling through to the final. I’m here, and I’m not coming this far for this far so I’ll try!”

The two semi-finals are slated for 15.00 on Friday afternoon with the final down for 19.00.
Polish / Korean duo Wiktor Zielinski and Seo Seoa completed their third consecutive win as they defeated Sanjin Pehlivanovic and Diana Kohdjaeva via a shoot-out.
Commented Zielinski, “I’m enjoying it very much. Three out of three wins so far and three more wins to grab the title. Tomorrow we’ll have the day off and then we’re back at it for the quarter-finals.
“It’s team work so it doesn’t matter who misses; always the team and we play together. As long as there’s good chemistry and the same way of thinking. It’s really nice to pay with someone who thinks the same way so we don’t have to talk very much about angles and preferences,” he added.

The Little Monster Men’s International Open got underway today and a player hoping to make inroads is Spain’s Jonas Souto who won his opening game against Raul Martin Muela. Souto has been playing all over the world this year but is delighted to be playing in Spain.
He said, “It feels amazing at home. For a long time, I didn’t play any tournament in Spain in these professional conditions with international players so I feel like I’m home. I felt really, really confident in the table and that’s what I’m looking for.
“I feel that I played OK – my opponent was from Spain and I’ve known him from a long time ago so I tried my best and I won.
“To win the tournament or not, is not my main objective. To do my best, try to be confident and give my best attitude. I want to improve every day and if I win it’s like a bonus. I want to feel really good and I know I can win this tournament but it’s step-by-step,” he added.

In addition to the three Little Monster International Opens, the Predator WPA Junior World Championships start commences on Thursday morning with Boys U19 and U17 as well as U19 Girls categories.
