The third round of this year’s Pool Extraleague (Bilardowa Ekstraklasa) is now complete, which has determined the full set of four teams that will compete for gold in Kielce on the second weekend of November. Thanks to the results achieved at the Libero Katowice Gallery, the two relegated teams are also known.

As many as three matchdays were played in Silesia last weekend. On Friday, October 17, the match between the relegation-battling Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica and Fortis Bilard II Kielce provided the most excitement. Practically every one of the three sessions went the way of the representatives of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, with only the last one ending in a 4:4 draw. Fortis II ultimately won 12:7. The second potential relegated team, Zakręcona, Bila Poznań, played against the host of the III round, GKS Katowice. The home team did not disappoint their fans, winning 12:5 and securing their promotion to the Pool Extraleague Final4.

The next day, the first team of Fortis Bilard Kielce was once again in play. Following a confident victory over Europool Arkadia Tczew, it was time for a confrontation with Bank Spółdzielczy w Sokółce LP Sokółka, a team aspiring to play in the Final4. The multiple Polish champions, who had already secured their spot in the final four, left no doubt for their opponents. The match closed with a score of 12:2. The Sokółka team only managed to hold their ground in the second series, winning two small points.

Significantly more excitement could be seen in the clash between the potential relegated teams — Zakręcona Bila Poznań and Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica. The club from the capital of Greater Poland had to win to keep their dream of staying in the elite division alive, and they maintained this hope by managing a 12:11 victory. Rokietnica was left to look for points on the final matchday. Europool Arkadia Tczew and Strefa Łódź also played a match at full score distance. The representatives of the largest billiards club in Europe won 12:11, securing their promotion to the Pool Extraleague Final4.

The culmination of Saturday’s confrontations was the match between GKS Katowice and Arkadia II Tczew. At the billiards table, the hosts did not disappoint. GKS won 12:7, although credit must be given to the opponents for causing the favourites plenty of problems. However, this did not save them from relegation. With this loss, Arkadia II Tczew sealed their fate, and next season we will observe their progress in the league below the Extraleague.

Matchday 8 Results:
Zakręcona Bila Poznań – Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica 12:11
Fortis Bilard Kielce – Bank Spółdzielczy w Sokółce LP Sokółka 12:2
Europool Arkadia Tczew – Strefa Łódź 11:12
GKS Katowice – Arkadia II Tczew 12:7

On the last day of the round, October 19, the full line-up for the Final4 was known. Fortis Bilard Kielce had already secured first place earlier. After Sunday’s victory over Strefa Łódź, GKS Katowice jumped to the runner-up position, while Europool Arkadia Tczew defeated Zakręcona Bila Poznań 12:8, moving them into third place. Strefa Łódź closed the list.

Zakręcona Bila Poznań’s loss to Tczew greatly complicated their status in the elite division, and everything now depended on Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica. If Radosław Babica‘s team lost to Bank Spółdzielczy w Sokółce LP Sokółka, the former Polish champions would be relegated. However, in the event of a win, Zakręcona Bila would start the next season in the I League. The first session was not the best forecast as the duo Adam StankiewiczMichał Potysz lost to Tomasz Górski and Konrad Piekarski 3:4. However, the subsequent clashes were only better, as the second session ended in a 5:2 triumph for Rokietnica, and the final session sealed their survival with a 4:3 win over Sokółka. The aggregate score of 12:9 in this match secured Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica’s place in the Pool Extraleague. At the end of the 2025 campaign, Arkadia II Tczew bid farewell to the elite, joined by Zakręcona Bila Poznań after years of playing at the highest level of competition.
