An action-packed weekend at Galeria Łódzka has come to an end, following three intense rounds of the Billiard Ekstraklasa. After this second seasonal meeting, the reigning Polish champion, GKS Katowice, remains at the top of the table. Fortis Bilard Kielce secured the runner-up spot, while the event hosts, Strefa Łódź, rounded out the podium.
The April session in Łódź opened with two matches for GKS Katowice. They first faced Bank Spółdzielczy w Sokółce Piotrowski Żuraw Białystok, followed by a clash with the league newcomers, Auta.ch-147 Break Warszawa. Both matches ended in decisive victories for “Gieksa,” solidifying their lead. Wojciech Szewczyk (GKS Katowice) was named MVP of both encounters.
Friday also marked a historic moment: the first-ever home match for Strefa Łódź in the Ekstraklasa. The locals defeated Europool Arkadia Tczew 12:6, with Norbert Żelasko earning the MVP title. The day concluded with a high-stakes battle between Fortis Bilard Kielce and Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica. This rivalry lived up to its reputation, ending in a 12:11 “decider” victory for the 9-time Polish champions from Kielce. Mariusz Skoneczny was named MVP.

On the second day, Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica, led by Radosław Babica, fell 7:12 to Europool Arkadia Tczew (Kamil Sząszor was named MVP). Similarly, Auta.ch-147 Break Warszawa put up a fight against Fortis but eventually lost 8:12, with Karol Skowerski taking the MVP honors.
The Saturday afternoon session saw Strefa Łódź narrowlly lose 11:12 to Fortis Bilard II Kielce. Captain Bartosz Rozwadowski was instrumental in the visitors’ win and received the MVP trophy. Saturday closed with a match between Bank Spółdzielczy w Sokółce and TCF HUB Retro Team Kraków, ending in a 12:10 win for the team from Białystok. Despite the loss, Szymon Kural (Kraków) was recognized as the MVP for his resilient performance.

On Sunday, Strefa Łódź bounced back from their previous loss to defeat TCF HUB Retro Team Kraków 12:6 (Mateusz Śniegocki – MVP). Akademia Bilardowa Rokietnica also ended the weekend on a high note, beating Auta.ch-147 Break Warszawa 12:10 (Radosław Babica – MVP).

The first-ever Ekstraklasa meeting in Łódź was a resounding success, with thousands of visitors watching the top Polish teams compete. Beyond the main competition, the hosts organized a fan zone where guests could learn the game under the guidance of European Champion and World Vice-Champion Katarzyna Wesołowska. The zone, featuring custom-sized tables for all ages and various contests with prizes, attracted hundreds of participants throughout the weekend.
