The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) today announced Diamond Billiard Products Inc. has agreed to be the presenting sponsor of the inaugural 2021 BEF U22 National 10-Ball Championships, taking place July 27-30 at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Convention Center.
“Diamond Billiard Products Inc. has had a long tradition of supporting the Billiard Education Foundation’s Junior National Championships,” said Chad Scharlow of Diamond. “We are excited to see the Billiard Education Foundation expand its National Championships to include an older age division to provide BEF alumni players another high-level event to compete in after they have aged out of ‘traditional’ BEF junior events. We take great pride in partnering with the BEF to make the BEF Junior National Championships an even greater experience for our junior players.”
This year’s inaugural BEF 10-Ball National Championships presented by Diamond will feature an open field of male and female competitors, 22 and under, and will take place alongside the 33rd Annual BEF Junior National 9-Ball Championships presented by Iwan Simonis, the 2021 BEF Junior National 8-Ball Championships presented by Lucasi, as well as the return of the Dr. Cue’s Artistic Pool Challenge.
This year’s 10-Ball National Championships will host a very competitive field of past BEF champions, including: Kaiden Hunkins, April Larson, Shane Wolford, Casey Cork, Ricky Evans, Vivian Liu, Lukas Fracasso-Verner, Kodi Allen, and many additional players seeking to continue playing pool at the highest possible levels.
“Diamond has a long and successful track record of supporting the Billiard Education Foundation,” said BEF Associate Director Shane Tyree. “For them to now step up and become the title sponsor of our new 10-Ball BEF alumni event shows how much they care about our sport, as well as our sport’s continued growth and development. Knowing we can count on them annually to provide the tournament tables and installation services is such an amazing commitment from Diamond.”
The champion of this year’s BEF 10-Ball National Championships presented by Diamond will receive three paid entry fees into any BCA Ranking Events in 2021 or 2022 ($1,500 value). Second place will receive paid entry fees into two BCA Ranking Events in 2021 or 2022 ($1,000 value), and third place will receive a paid entry fee into one BCA Ranking Event or 50% entry fee covered for two BCA Ranking Events in 2021 or 2021 ($500).
