Great sporting excitement awaits all billiards fans. This upcoming weekend, the final tournament of the Billiards Ekstraklasa will take place at the Echo Gallery in Kielce to determine the Polish team champion in billiards. Teams from Kielce, Katowice, Łódź, and Tczew have advanced to the decisive Final Four phase, and it is within their ranks that the key resolutions will be made:
Star-studded lineup of the Billiards Ekstraklasa
At the table, we will see the best billiards players, not only in our country but from the absolute world elite. The rosters of the four teams that earned promotion to the Final Four include names such as Wojciech Szewczyk (World Champion and World Cup winner) and Daniel Macioł (World Rank No. 2, two-time World Cup winner) – both players of one of the title contenders, GKS Katowice.

Meanwhile, the Strefa Łódź team, which is also a strong contender for the gold, is spearheaded by Polish and European Champions Tomasz Kapłan and Mateusz Śniegocki. World Junior Championship bronze medalist Kamil Sząszor is the leader of the Eurotech Arkadia Tczew team. Lastly, World Pool Masters winner Karol Skowerski and European Champion Mariusz Skoneczny are the current leaders of Fortis Bilard Kielce, who are also counted among the favorites. This team was the first to qualify for the Final Four. For the team led by Marek Marcinkowski, everything was clear even before the last Ekstraklasa match series.

GKS is the clear favorite in the first semi-final. Additionally, the Tczew team is weakened by the injury of one of its two leaders, W. Papiz. The second semi-final promises to be more balanced, or rather, the fans from Kielce are hoping it will be. This is due to the fact that Karol Skowerski and Michał Turkowski are scheduled to land in Warsaw at 7:30 AM on Friday morning, just three hours before the match, after returning from the Heyball World Championships in Australia. If there are no delays, they will begin play after a journey of over 30 hours. If there are delays, their places will be taken by young players from the second league.
Detailed match schedule
The losers of the semi-final matches will play a single game for the bronze medal, starting on Saturday at 12:00 PM. The winners of the semi-final matches will play two matches for the gold medal. The first will be at 9:00 AM, with the rematch at 4:00 PM. In the event of a tie, penalty shots will decide the title—as they have done in the last two years.
We invite everyone to the Echo Gallery on level -1, on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Fans who come to the Gallery (entry is, of course, free) will be able to follow the competition on a specially prepared huge LED screen, and the matches will be commented live by a journalist from TVSPORTSPL. All matches can also be followed live on tvsports.pl.
