Kielce is once again becoming the capital of billiards sports. The Billiards Festival will host three tournaments. The competition begins on Friday, August 15th, and will run until August 17th. Live stream on www.tvsports.pl.
The 10th International Billiard Festival will kick off with the EEBC JUNIOR CUP. 62 young participants from Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and Slovakia have registered to play. Kielce will be represented in this competition by Jakub Chrobot, a Fortis Kielce player whose achievements include a European runner-up finish and a world championship bronze medal.
Another tournament, another billiards discipline. We’re talking about heyball, which came to us from China and is enjoying increasing popularity worldwide. The organizers want to showcase this sport to a wider audience during the EEBC HEYBALL JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. We could only admit 16 juniors to the competition. This was due to a limited number of tables. The positive thing is that there were many interested participants from all over Europe.
However, the highlight of the festival program will be the fourth Dynamic Billard Best of the East – Polish 9-Ball tournament this year. After competitions in Romania, the Czech Republic, and Georgia, this time it’s time for a series of games in Kielce. The starting list includes 124 players, including the leader after three tournaments, Mariusz Skoneczny from Fortis Kielce.
The runner-up, Kristian Mrva from Prešov, who is hot on his heels, has also announced his presence at the festival billiard tables. The prize pool is 22,000 PLN. The best athletes will also receive attractive prizes, including a professional Cuetec cue and a case.
The festival tournaments will be held at the Grand Hotel on Kielce’s prestigious Sienkiewicza Street, as well as at the Kielce Billiards Center on Moniuszki Square and the PZBil ERG Bieruń International Billiards Center on Warszawska Street. The tournament will also feature the premiere of the latest billiard tables from the renowned Dynamic brand.

– I really wanted the tenth festival to be special, but unfortunately, the budget didn’t allow for it. I’m glad the players signed up. The start lists for all the tournaments are full. It will certainly be an interesting sporting event, as the group of players with medals from European and national championships is large. The main Polish 9-Ball tournament concludes this year’s highly successful international sports series, Dynamic Billard Best of the East. I hope that a Polish player will finish the year’s competition in first place. At this point, Mariusz Skoneczny, who plays for Fortis Kielce, has the best chance – says Marcin Krzemiński, the festival organizer.
Admission to the festival is free. Matches can be watched online, broadcast on TVsports.pl. The festival is organized by the East European Billiard Council and MAK Marketing. The opening ceremony will take place on August 15th at 10:15 AM at the Grand Hotel Kielce.
