Konrad Juszczyszyn Wins The Tirst Predator Pol Tour of the year! Tournament at Strefa Diamond Gdańsk Ends in A Record-breaking Success
The inauguration of this year’s Grand Prix of Poland Predator Pol Tour in Gdańsk is officially behind us. As it turned out, this opening 10-ball tournament—held for the first time at the Strefa Diamond club—delivered a historic result: for the first time in his career, Konrad Juszczyszyn (Royal Bytom) has won a Grand Prix Polski cycle event.
This is a particularly interesting milestone, as Juszczyszyn has already won a vast amount in his billiards journey so far. We are talking about a European Champion, a World Championship medalist, a World Cup winner, and a multiple-time Polish Champion. Despite his many successes, a victory in the Grand Prix of Poland Pol Tour cycle had eluded him throughout his 15-year senior career—until the beginning of 2026 and the 241st tournament in the cycle’s history.

Interestingly, Konrad’s start in the competition was far from perfect. The Royal Bytom player lost in the group stage to Szymon Duda and had to fight for advancement until the very last rack against Mateusz Cholewiński. Ultimately, Juszczyszyn secured second place in his group, earning a spot in the playoffs, where he was nearly flawless.
On his way to the final, he defeated other major names, including Tomasz Kapłan, Szymon Kural, Radosław Babica, and Hubert Łopotko. In the final, Juszczyszyn faced Mariusz Skoneczny, representing the Fortis Bilard Kielce club. The championship match was hard-fought and ended with Konrad’s maiden triumph, 6-5. “It’s a great feeling because I’ve waited a long time to win a Pol Tour. Winning a tournament is always a joy, especially after such a tight final,” Juszczyszyn commented.

Joining Konrad Juszczyszyn and Mariusz Skoneczny on the podium were bronze medalists Hubert Łopotko (Biała Podlaska) and Wojciech Szewczyk (GKS Katowice). The first Grand Prix of Poland Predator Pol Tour tournament of 2026 was a massive success in terms of turnout, with 173 players registered—a record-breaking result over many years. Notably, a Fair Play Award was presented during the event in Gdańsk to Norbert Żelasko. The Strefa Łódź player informed his opponent (Rafał Górecki) about the risk of committing a foul, which allowed Górecki to play correctly, win the match, and subsequently eliminate Norbert from the tournament.
Simultaneously, the Simple Cup took place at Strefa Diamond Gdańsk, a tournament open to players eliminated early from the Pol Tour. The main prize was claimed by Paweł Kaczmarek, who defeated Damian Adamus in the final. The final podium spots were shared by Christopher Kamiński and Sebastian Szymkowski. A total of 73 players participated.
