FOLLOWING THE CONCLUSION of the Dynamic Billard Slovenian Open in the picturesque Slovenian town of Lasko, EPBF President, Gre Leenders presented a Dynamic Billard pool table to the Lasko Fire Department. As well as their sterling work protecting the local community, the Fire Department are great supporters of the EPBF at all of their events in Lasko, including Euro Tours as well as European Championships.

The station was founded in 1870 and serves the local area with 108 volunteers. In recognition of their general support as well as assistance in the staging process of EPBF tournaments, the federation thought it fitting to present the Lasko Fire Department with a Dynamic pool table in recognition of their friendship and cooperation.

Lasko Fire Department President, Bojan Spiler, said, “The pool table is a great treat to have! Apart from the youngsters having some fun in their downtime, it also gives our elder volunteers a recreational activity as some are not able to attend fires anymore but we must never forget their service.”

Gre Leenders commented, “An awarding of an EPBF event is always done in the first place to support and boost the pool billiard sport in the respective country, but whenever possible, besides holding an event, we try to support or develop initiatives of a local social nature.

“The donation of the pool table to the local fire brigade of Lasko is an example of such a project. For years, the local fire brigade has supported our events with manpower and help in building-up & breaking-down our equipment. Through this donation, we say “thank you” for this help highlighting the local cooperation between the event organisers, the local fire brigade and EPBF. It’s a wonderful initiative.” He added.
