This also marked the new era for fabric of Chinese billiard as well as a milestone for ANDY cloth itself.
Chinese billiard originated from around 1980s is one of the most popular billiard activities in China. A survey had showed that approximately 75% of people among billiard enthusiasts play Chinese billiard. There were various names for it before, including Chinese 8-ball, American pocket, which depends on distinct area. In order to regulate market and unite the rules, The Ball Sports Management Center of The General Administration of Sport announced the official name as “Chinese Billiard” on March 15th 2012. ANDY starts to establish research team to design and manufacture unique billiard fabric for Chinese Billiard. Even though ANDY encountered several setbacks and difficulty, ANDY still managed to design the fabric that suits Chinese Billiard and receive positive feedback and encouragement form China Billiard and Snooker Association on billiard club league tour of Heilongjiang province and in Beijing in 2014.
This press conference marked that ANDY Chinese Billiard Cloth had gained the support and approve from China Billiard and Snooker Association that will be the official cloth for the next 5 years’ Chinese Billiard events.
ANDY billiard cloth will not stop investigating but will continuously searching for Chinese Billiard’s spirit and keep improving the fabric to meet Chinese Billiard’s substantial needs including its kinetic energy and friction to increase fabric’s impact resistance as well as to enlarge the flatness and stability. China Billiard and Snooker Association entrusted ANDY to formulate the standard of fabric for Chinese billiard. The general manager of ANDY stated that: “ This is not only a responsibility but also a mission ”. ANDY will continuously serve the billiard fabric industry including every kind.

“ANDY安帝球布”作為世界9球中國公開賽自2009年開始連續6年比賽指定球布的贊助商,7月3日下午,搭乘2015世界9球中國公開賽的東風,在浦東源深體育中心與中國台球協會聯合召開“中式台球官方台呢贊助商”的簽約儀式暨新聞發布會,雙方簽訂了2015-2019為期五年的合作協議,正式向市場宣布“ANDY安帝中式台呢”的誕生,同時也開啟了中式專用台呢的新紀元。這是ANDY的又一經典之作,同時也體現了中國台球協會對於中式台球的重視及對民族台球企業的扶持。
中式台球興起於上世紀八十年代末,是中國內地普及性最高的台球項目,調查顯示其從業人口占國內台球總運動人數的75%,過去在不同的區域,其名稱也各有不同,“中式八球”、“十六彩”、“美式落袋”、“普爾8球,可謂五花八門。從規範市場、統一項目的高度出發,2012年3月15日,國家體育總局小球運動管理中心發布了“中式台球”的官方命名。自此,這項極具中國特色的台球項目有了明確的發展方向並且步入了快速的發展階段。而也就是從這一天起,ANDY在花式9球布獨步市場的同時,也開始動員科研團隊,積極地投入中式專用台呢的研發工作。這三年當中歷經了多次的挫折與挑戰,2014年最終在對中式產品要求嚴苛的黑龍江省俱樂部聯賽及北京星牌-紅牛杯俱樂部聯賽中受到參賽選手及組委會的一致好評,也因此開始受到中國台球協會的關註。
本次新聞發布會的召開,標誌著ANDY安帝中式專用台呢已獲得中國台球協會的支持與認可,將成為未來五年間國內中式台球比賽的官方台呢。但ANDY並未因此而停下腳步,而是仍然馬不停蹄地在中國台球協會的領導下,投入更深入的探索,為國人自有知識產權的中式台球奉獻一份心力。
在ANDY的深層研發計劃中,將進一步探索中式台球的文化與符合中式台球實際需求的專用台球呢。從最適合的動摩擦力及靜摩擦力,提升台呢的抗沖擊強度,增強平整度和穩定性,到同步降低阻力系數等。更為重要的是,在此過程中,ANDY安帝還肩負著一項特殊的使命——受中國台球協會標準化委員會的委托,ANDY將組織專業的研發團隊,全面負責中式台呢的標準制定。對此,ANDY安帝台呢總經理林鈺城表示,這不僅是一種責任,更是一種使命。全球台球行業近百年來,到目前還沒有任何台球用布的標準建立,一旦中式台呢的標準形成,這不單是企業實力的象征,更是中國台球人的驕傲。
在中國台球協會的支持與領導下,過去不受關註的中式台球已經走出了一條康莊大道,而ANDY也即將沿著這條大道奮力往前邁進,重新定義屬於中國人民的中式臺呢,持續不斷的追求創新,實現台球人的中國夢。
