Alongside the defending champion Shaw, the Mansion Sports Hanoi Open will feature World Champion Fedor Gorst, World Pool Championship runner-up Eklent Kaçi and five-time US Open champion Shane Van Boening amongst a plethora of the world’s premier pool talent.

The Mansion Sports Hanoi Open will also feature Team Asia’s stars for the inaugural Reyes Cup, taking place in Manila, the Philippines between October 15-18. Aloysius Yapp, Johann Chua, Ko Pin Yi, Carlo Biado and local Vietnamese star Duong Quoc Hoang will all be aiming to impress captain Efren Reyes, who will be in attendance in Hanoi.

Their European counterparts will be represented by 2023 World Champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, Kaçi, Shaw and European Open champion Mickey Krause.

All eyes across the pond will be focussed on the battle for Team USA’s final Mosconi Cup slot with Tyler Styer, Oscar Dominguez and Billy Thorpe all in contention to secure the final automatic spot in pool’s biggest party this December in Orlando, United States.

The draw was seeded following results from the Pennsylvania Open, which saw Team USA’s Mosconi Cup captain Skyler Woodward securing his first ranking title of the year against Spain’s Jonas Souto. Both players will descend on Hanoi after appearances in WNT Ranking events, the Battle of the Bull and the Peri 9-ball Open respectively.

The top 128 players in the field were seeded based on the 2024 World Nineball Tour Rankings with Round 1 matches taking place over the opening two days.
