It’s been almost 4 years, the pandemic has been put the 9-Ball China Open on hiatus for many years, and now it is officially returns on the calendar this Autumn in Shanghai. The WPA 9-Ball China Open 2013 will be held on 3rd to 10th September at Pudong Tangzhen Culture & Sports Center. (Stage 1: 3rd-5th, Stage 2: 6th-10th)

2023 will be the 12th 9-Ball China Open, the event has always been supported by Peoples’ Government of Tangzhen Pudong New Area. Before the venue moved to Pudong Tangzhen Culture & Sports Center, it was held 7 consecutive years at Shanghai Pudong Yuanshen Stadium from 2009 to 2015.

The qualifying tournament (Stage 1) of the WPA 9-Ball China Open 2013 will be held at at Pudong Tangzhen Culture & Sports Center from 3rd-5th September, and there will be three sessions of stage 1. Stage 1 play in a single elimination format with winner breaks, race to 9 in men’s division and race to 7 in women’s division. Men’s division will be at Tangzhen Culture & Sports Center while Sanlin Sports Center for women’s division. There will be 8 spots in each division to advance into the main event (Stage 2). First and second session has two spots in each division, and the last session has 4 spots each.

The stage 2 shall commence after three days of qualifying competition, with the field completed from the qualifiers for both divisions. With the top 16 ranked in men & women division on the WPA are qualified into the stage 2 directly, 64 men players and 48 women players will be put into groups and apply double elimination format until men’s last 32 and women’s last 16. Until then the game changes from race to 9 for men and 7 for women, to race to 11 for men and race to 9 for women with alternate breaks, magic rack and 1-ball on spot.

The event will be played on Rasson tables covered with ANDY Premier Cloth (HRA tech), with Aramith Tournament TV balls, and HOW Tip as official tip of the tournament.

世界九球中國公開賽今秋正式回歸世界賽曆

等待將近四年的時間，因一場突然而至的疫情而導致停辦多年的世界九球中國公開賽終將於今秋九月正式回歸世界舞台。2023年世界9球中國公開賽將於 9月3日至9月10日在上海浦東唐鎮文化體育中心登場。

2023年將為第12屆世界9球中國公開賽的舉辦，賽事一直以來受到浦東新區唐鎮人民政府的鼎力支持，並於 2016年正式移師至唐鎮新落成啟用的唐鎮文化體育中心，於此之前，世界9球中國公開賽 2009-2015年在浦東源深体育中心連續舉辦7年。

本屆會外賽將於9月3日開打，為睽違已久的賽事正式拉開帷幕。男子、女子組賽場將同為會內賽賽場-唐鎮文化體育中心。資格賽共將分三場進行，選手們將爭取最後各8張的會內賽門票。會外賽全程採用單敗淘汰賽制、勝方衝球，男子搶9、女子搶7，男子組和女子組第一、二場各取 2名選手晉級、第三場各取 4名選手。

本屆賽事依然為 WPA 認證賽事，因此根據規程，WPA 排名前16的男、女子選手 (排名截至 6/30)，以及2019年的男、女子冠軍均直接獲得會內賽參賽資格。會內賽將緊接於 9月7日在唐鎮文化體育中心登場，第一階段男子64名和女子48名選手，將採分組雙敗淘汰賽制，男子搶9、女子搶7，男子每組 4名選手 (勝部2名、敗部2名) 和女子每組 2名選手 (勝部1名、敗部1名) 晉級下一階段。第二階段的男子32強及女子16強為單敗淘汰賽，男子搶11、女子搶9，比賽採輪流衝球。

賽事獎金方面，總獎金為 $373,600美金，來自世界各地的球員們將齊聚上海爭奪冠軍頭銜，男子冠軍將收穫$4萬美元獎金，女子優勝則將獲得3萬6仟美元。

銳勝球台為本屆賽事指定球台，搭配雅樂美美式TV球作為比賽用球，而安帝球布最新研發推出全球獨創的抗潮濕技術 (HRA tech) 的 “無雙” 則為賽事指定比賽球布，一同為本屆賽事保駕護航。
