The Alpina Wellness & Sports Hotel in St. Johann i.Pg., Austria, will one more time be the hotspot of European Pool Billiards for the duration of this week.
Tomorrow, the Dynamic Billard Austrian open will start. 166 players from all over Europe and the Middle East are competing for a total of 36.000,-€ in prize money and coveted ranking points. The whole elite of European pool will be present, including #1 David Alcaide (ESP), # 2 Joshua Filler (GER), #3 Mark Gray (GBR), #4 Niels Feijen (NED) and #5 Ralf Souquet (GER), just to name a few. Local hopes are definitely placed on Albin Ouschan, Mario He and Maximilian Lechner (all AUT). The Dynamic Billard Austrian Open in Alpina Wellness & Sports Hotel, St. Johann i.Pg., Austria, is the third tournament of this year’s Euro-Tour series. After the Italian Open in Treviso and the Portuguese Open in Albufeira, this upcoming event will be staged in the middle of the Austrian Alps once more. The Alpina has been a venue for several Euro-Tour and European Championship events and players as well as organisers find perfect conditions here to present our sport in a top level atmosphere within a beautiful landscape. The Dynamic Billard Austrian Open will begin on Thursday morning at 09:00 CET with round 1 matches. The final match is scheduled for Saturday, May 20th, at 18:00 local time.
On Saturday morning, the European Women enter the stage here in St. Johann i.Pg. The Dynamic Billard Austria Women’s Open will commence with 35 players announced so far. Top favourites for the title are Jasmin Ouschan (AUT), Kristina Tkach (RUS) and the winner of the event in Treviso, Ina Kaplan (GER). The women will compete for 3250,-€ prize money as well as ranking points for the European Women Ranking.
