2014 LIANDO U VALLEY World Pool Team Championship start on July 28th to August 2nd in TongZhou Beijing. This event is heldevery 2 years. The last world team championship was also held in TongZhou.
The tournament format this year includes Men 8-ball single, Men 8-ball scotch double, Women 9-ball single, Men 9-ball single , Mixed 10-ball scotch double and Men 10-ball single. All teams will play in the group stage (round-robin) and then advance to the direct knock-outs. Whenever teams are tied, the heart-eating “Shootout” game will be played to decide the winner.
The 2014 World Pool Team Championship shall feature 27 teams (2 teams for China being the host) and will be competing for a total prize of USD300,000. The Champion team will take home USD80,000 alone. China, Australia, Germany, Austria, United Kingdom, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei etc… all together 26 countries will be participating in the tournament.
In the round-robin stage, there will be 3 groups of 5 teams and 3 groups of 4 teams. The Top 2 teams in each group, alongside with 4 teams in 3rd places with the best results, will advance to the knock-out stage.
The Chinese Taipei Team shall comprise of Chieh-Yu CHOU, Jung-Lin CHANG, Che-Wei FU, Kai-Lun HSU and Pin-Yi KO.
2014 “聯東U谷”杯世界撞球團體錦標賽將於7月28日至8月2日在北京通州開賽。中華台北隊將派出由周婕妤、張榮麟、傅哲偉、許凱綸和柯秉逸組成的一支隊伍參加。
世界撞球團體錦標賽每兩年舉辦一屆，可以說是撞球項目的”世界杯”。上屆世界撞球團體錦標賽同樣在北京通州舉行。本屆世界撞球團體錦標賽依舊設立 8號球男子單打、8號球男子雙打、9號球女子單打、9號球男子單打、10號球混合雙打和10號球男子單打等6個小項。比賽分為小組賽和淘汰賽兩個階段，在淘汰賽階段戰成平局的兩支隊伍，將通過點球大戰決出勝負。
本次比賽總獎金為30萬美元，冠軍隊伍將獲得8萬美元。屆時，將有中國、德國、奧地利、英國、美國、澳洲、韓國、新加坡、中華台北、香港等26個國家和地區的27支球隊參賽。小組賽階段，A組、B組、C組，各有五支球隊；D組、E組、F組各有四支球隊，每個小組的前兩名和四個成績最好的小組第三晉級淘汰賽階段。
